The Huxley Public Library is located on the 2nd floor of the 3C’s building. The library is fully handicapped accessible with an elevator from the ground floor. Library materials are free unless damaged or lost. 

Getting a library card is easy!   If you live in Huxley, or another Iowa community, stop by the library with your photo ID  and fill out a quick form.  If your ID address is not current, please bring in a piece of mail with a current physical address.  (PO Box numbers are not accepted)   Please keep account information up to date and return materials by their due date.

  • Books, DVDs, magazines, and newspapers.
  • Inter-Library loan service. 
  • 4 public computers and free WiFi
  • Print, copy, fax, scan services.
  • 2 small meeting/study rooms.
  • Notary Public (please call ahead)
  • Passport Acceptance Facility (by appointment only)

Please note, our safe child policy states, “No one under the age of 9 may be in the library unattended.”  Children under 14 are not allowed elsewhere in the building.

On days the Ballard Middle School is in session, we will open at 8:00am.
Monday – Thursday:  9:00 am – 7:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
