Why the increase?  There is a maximum amount of water that the city can treat/produce in a day. There have been several times in the past couple of years that the Water Treatment Facility has reached its capacity – and the city continues to grow. Therefore, funds are needed to purchase additional tanks to store the water necessary to maintain the daily usage of the community.

Want to help?  Conservation is key.  Residents can help the cause by reducing their daily usage (and reducing their monthly bill!).

Should you have questions regarding the utility increase, please call City Hall at 515.597.2561 extension 0.
