Ballard Kiwanis Club

The Ballard Kiwanis Club was formed in 2015 and the goal of this organization is to help the Ballard Community through volunteering and through projects that benefit the Ballard Community.

Monthly meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday’s of each month.
1st meeting of each month is held at the Ballard Country Club beginning at 11:45am.
3rd meeting of the each month is helfd at the Ballard High School beginning at 6:45am.

Ballard Clothes Pantry

The Ballard Clothes Pantry is located behind Ballard Creek Retirement Center on N. Highway 69. This service is free to anyone in the Ballard community. The clothes pantry is open on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 pm, Saturday from 10am to noon and on Sundays 1 to 3 pm.  You can also make an appointment by calling Jeriann McLaughlin at 515.597.2971 ext 2190 or evenings at 515-291-3543. You can also email Ms. McLaughlin at jmclaughlin@ballard.k12.ia.us.

The Ballard Clothes Pantry does accept donations and items donated must be able to be used during the active season.

 

Huxley Food Pantry

The Huxley Food Pantry is open each Wednesday from 6 – 7 pm and available to resident s of Huxley and Kelley.  The pantry is located in the first house south of the Fjeldberg Church at 209 N. 2nd Avenue. Interested individuals can use the service once a month and must present an I.D. with proof of current address.
