The Huxley Police Department has received several complaints regarding lawns exceeding the maximum height of 12 inches for grass and weeds per City Code 154.09. Please be aware that “No Mow May” does not supersede City Code and fines will be issued by Huxley Police for violators.

The Huxley Police Department received a generous donation from 3M in Ames to purchase a drug drop box for citizens to deposit their unwanted prescription drugs. The drug drop box is located in the Huxley Police Department front entrance.
